A rant

Posted by shonatiger

Why do blogs have to be read backwards? Has anyone (the people responsible, lol) realised how irksome that us? Often, to get a good sense of what the blog is about, you have to read from the bottom... argh.

I'd hate for people to start at the beginning of my blog. It would give them a very incorrect impression of where I am right now. To remedy the background issue, I post links to recommended posts and to a background post in my blog sidebar. I don't know how often people look at them, but they're there.

Hi Shona,
I also have trouble navigating through some blogs, especially when the archives take forever to upload. But when you are keeping up with a blog, it would be a real pain to have to scroll all the way to the bottom to read new posts, so I guess that's why it's like it is.

Good point, Adam. I feel that way too :) I suppose it doesn't really matter- only when I come across a blog I had not visited before...

hmmm Jane I never thought about that, honestly- thanks for the insight!

Thank you both for commenting.
