What a horrific article. I don't quite understand the details of WHY they were being beaten & arrested? Are church meetings forbidden or are they accused as a radical group?
I follow the "Voice of the Martyrs" at www.persecution.net but I had not seen one so verbal as this account.

Hi Becky.. It's a mix of politics and the issue of free speech.. the people you read about are actually politicians pushing for change in Zimbabwe, and want it done by peaceful means. Lots about it, if you google "Morgan Tsvangirai" or "Movement for Democratic change+Zimbabwe"
Thanks for the info. I recently read about this same violent incident on CNN although it portrays a different slant (over Americanized as usual) Either way, it was totally senseless & horrible.
